- Turn it on We run every zone from the timer. Dry turf, a misting head, a head that never pops up, or a zone that will not shut off each points to a different part of the system.
- Find the cause We test the timer and the valves, check water at the first and last head, and watch the meter if we think there is a leak. You get a clear list: what failed, what we will replace, and what can wait.
- Mark utilities if we dig Underground public lines get marked before we open the lawn. If a marked line is in the way, we move. We do not “be careful” around gas.
- Repair Head, valve, pipe fitting, wire, or timer. Spray stays with spray. Rotors stay with rotors so one side of the yard is not mud and the other crunchy.
